In one for Newsweek, he described Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar as “both a psychopathic murderer and a calculated, rational actor.” He called the assassination of Sinwar “a significant milestone in Israel's war against Hamas following the October 7 massacre, which Sinwar directed and masterminded to trigger a regional conflict to disrupt the prospect of Israeli-Saudi normalization.”
But the chances are that across the mainstream media, you’ve never heard a voice like his. Understanding why is essential for understanding how mainstream news organizations fuel the big lie of the left.
Big media like to claim that they bring you a diverse array of knowledgeable people. But in reality, the vast majority of the time, these news organizations book, quote, and publish people who will say what the news organizations want you to hear. That’s how crazy fringe voices like Peter Beinart get huge platforms for their lies, while those who challenge the media’s narratives have a much harder time breaking through.
