It’s one of the most horrific ongoing stories: Islamist terrorists slaughtering Christians in Africa. Christian organizations report that it happened again this past weekend, on Palm Sunday.
As usual, the New York Times did not see this “fit to print” on the front page. And when it gave the story lip service, it avoided any mention that Islamists even exist.
The horrors ravaging Africa should also be discussed in coverage of Iran.
The Islamic Republic supports many of the Islamist terrorist groups in the region. And the Global Terrorism Index, which I covered last week, shows Nigeria among the most terror-stricken nations. Sub-Saharan Africa is now the “global epicenter” of terrorism, the report says.

The latest reported incidents involve a mostly Christian community in Nigeria. Death toll reports range from “at least 30” to “at least a dozen.”
Persecution.org, a site from International Christian Concern, published the image above. I’ve contacted them to ask about its source and whether it’s confirmed as being from this attack. Last year, “Islamic Fulani extremists slaughtered at least 54 Christians” in the same region, the organization reported, noting that local leaders called it “a targeted act of genocide against the Christian community.”
CBN (the Christian Broadcasting Network), has consistently reported on this phenomenon in Africa, and a similar one in Syria. Here’s one of their latest reports:
There are also reports of retaliations against Islamist or Muslim groups in the wake of the attacks in Nigeria. The details are unclear. And in this case, that’s a big story.
