The media refuses to see Christians’ struggle for survival, literally pretending it doesn’t exist. But it’s a scourge of our time. Christians face a constant onslaught of attacks from Islamist terrorists.

It’s not just happening in Africa. Across the Middle East, Christians are facing growing threats. Iran has been rounding up Christians and putting them into its nightmare prisons. Syria’s new Islamist leaders have been fomenting even more violence against minorities in the country, including Christians.
Last June, a suicide bomber killed at least 25 people and wounded more than 60 at a Greek Orthodox Church in Damascus. When a group called Saraya Ansar al-Sunnah claimed responsibility, most news giants either ignored or buried it. (Side note: The Greek Orthodox celebration of Easter is next Sunday, April 12.)
In the Media Fail Awards, listeners voted for this topic as the single biggest underreported story of the year. I explain in the latest episode. I also discuss how Easter and Passover are intricately linked. It’s believed that The Last Supper was a seder, the ritual Passover meal.
Meanwhile, repression and attacks by Hamas and the Palestinian Authority have drastically reduced the Palestinian Christian populations. As the Christian Post notes, the media tries to blame Israel, while ignoring the reality.
The media also often uses Easter to push the ahistorical claim that Jesus was “Palestinian.” They do the same on Christmas. A simple look at the facts explains why that makes no sense.
The ability to celebrate different faiths freely and safely should be a hallmark of a democracy. It’s increasingly under fire, right here in the United States.

I saw in your April 1 post that you had contacted International Christian Concern about that horrific photo to confirm that it was from this attack. And now you've followed up with confirmation. Thank you. So few bother tracking down and verifying anything these days.
