If a massive terrorist attack against LGBTQ+ clubs was thwarted, you’d expect to hear about it, right? You’d expect wall-to-wall news for days, with the potential targets centered in the coverage.
But when the FBI recently announced that it had prevented an ISIS-inspired plot in Ferndale, Michigan — a town known for its vibrant nightlife and LGBTQ+ community — big news agencies failed to explore its significance. Some reported it but quickly moved on to other things. Others hid the LGBTQ+ angle (like a story in The New York Times that only mentions the likely target in the final paragraph).
It could have been even bigger horror than the 2016 Pulse nightclub attack, in which an Islamist extremist killed 49 people at a gay club in Orlando, Florida. Why did the media past it so quickly? Because the details disrupt a narrative that today’s mainstream media, and the progressive activists who largely dictate its coverage, desperately want to maintain: an imaginary “solidarity” between extremely different movements associated with the political left.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a minority group achieve such massive advancements only to work to subvert them — apparently without even realizing it. These groups are definitely already doing a great deal to hurt and endanger LGBTQ+ people in other parts of the world.
This isn’t ‘solidarity’
In recent years, LGBTQ+ organizations have become prominent mouthpieces for anti-Israel propaganda. Chanting easily disproven claims like “genocide” and “apartheid,” they push for the destruction of the only LGBTQ-safe place in all of MENA (the Middle East and North Africa). They’re helping viciously anti-LGBTQ Islamist governments and cultures gain more power. In a previous episode, I brought you a West Bank father whose son is a murderer; as soon as people found out that the victim was gay, he says, “the entire public opinion flipped” in support of his son.
In this episode, you’ll hear an actress who serves as a case in point. Accepting an award from an LGBTQ+ organization, she literally mourned the death of terrorists, and received wild applause. She then gave lip service to Israeli victims and hostages, and received a tiny, barely-there smattering of applause. (Oh, Hannah.)
