The media refuses to learn from its big mistakes. In the new episode, I bring you the latest proof. Rushing to cover Iran’s claims about a ceasefire deal, news giants are ignoring crucial lessons from a previous controversy involving the Mueller Report, then-Attorney General Bill Barr, and claims of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election.
As a result, they’re leaving millions, probably billions, of people believing lies about the biggest ongoing story.
In 2019, then-Attorney General Bill Barr got out ahead of the Mueller Report, providing a spin that changed the national conversation. The media helped him. By the time the truth got it, it was too late.
Now, Iran has done the same thing, with the media’s assistance. The industry that’s supposed to fight for truth is so desperate and unthinking that it regularly helps propagandists.
