With both a Chinese state visit to Washington and the United Nations General Assembly taking place, the media has a chance to educate Americans about some of the world’s most important events. Of course, most of the mainstream news agencies are blowing it.
First, as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu speaks at the UNGA, he faces a hostile hall in a city that elected an equally hostile mayor — backed every step of the way by adoring news coverage.
For years, news giants like the New York Times, CNN, and the AP have subjected Israel and Netanyahu to a daily drumbeat of lies. Those same news agencies deliver New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani the most adoring coverage possible. They ignore his unconstitutional threats, open “love” for convicted terror funders, and nightmarish DSA appointments.
The coverage has had an impact, but not enough to reach everyone. Earlier this month, listeners asked me about this piece from Mediaite:
Everything in that headline is accurate. Both Netanyahu and Mamdani are unpopular on balance (“under water” in poll speak), but Mamdani more so.
The same survey finds Israel holds onto favorability with the public — though just barely. You wouldn’t know any of this from CNN, which has been cherry-picking data from other surveys to create a different impression. See my post on X.

White House Press Access
As predicted, a judge has demanded that the White House reinstate press access for CNN, MS Now (formerly MSNBC) and Politico. It’s the right decision, but don’t view these news agencies as victims.
As I explain in the latest episode, the media’s hypocrisy is also a big part of the story.
